The Connecting Link

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Chapter 12 – The Subconscious Mind: The Connecting Link

The conscious mind has been described as an ant in comparison to the subconscious mind which has been described as an elephant. Your subconscious controls your actions. We respond to things that happen to us as well as things people say. We take these experiences and our subconscious mind makes a record of it and how it felt and files it away for future reference. These “files” we store in our subconscious become our truths (regardless of whether they are true or not).

So if, as a child, you were told you were dumb, worthless or would never be successful this becomes your truth. If these kinds of messages are not changed or “corrected” this is how you will perceive yourself in the world around you. These thoughts have a direct impact on your journey through life. It is very important to change any negative messages that may be in your subconscious mind in order to manifest success and abundance in your life.

The subconscious mind works day and night. If you do not feed your subconscious with what you truly want and desire, your subconscious will feed upon the thoughts that reach it even if it is due to neglect. So it makes sense to think about what you desire and want in life, visualize it and your subconscious will go to work making your desires reality. It may not be as soon as you would like but with patience and persistence it will happen.

Everything we create begins with a thought. Take your thoughts (desires) with a little imagination (visualization) mixed with faith (belief) and see how your thoughts become your reality.

Whatever You Believe Will Become Your Reality

  • Posted on April 16, 2011 at 9:18 pm

A positive mind finds a way it can be done. A negative mind looks for all the ways it can’t be done and the universe makes it so.

Someone once said, “There are no truths; there are only perceptions of truth.” Whether or not you accept this statement, whatever you believe to be true will become your reality. Your subconscious mind will believe anything you tell it — if you repeat the words often and with conviction. When you are faced with a daunting task that you’ve never attempted before, focus on the potential for success, not on the possibilities for failure. Break the job down into smaller elements and tackle each one separately. The only difference between success and failure in any job is your attitude toward it.

I once heard something that really brought this principle to light for me. A mother eagle wants her baby to fly and feel the freedom of soaring through the air but the baby fears falling. Isn’t it so many times that we want to do something but our fear holds us back. Instead of focusing on the negative of what could happen focus on the positive of what could happen and it will come to be.

7 Disciplines for High Performance By Brian Tracy

  • Posted on April 11, 2011 at 10:40 am

There are seven disciplines you must develop if you want to achieve all that is possible for you. You can learn these disciplines through practice and repetition until they become automatic.

Goal Setting
Every morning, take three to five minutes to write out your top goals in the present tense. Get a spiral notebook for this purpose. By writing out your ten goals at the beginning of each day, you will program them deep into your subconscious mind.

This daily goal writing will activate your mental powers. It will stimulate your mind and make you more alert. Throughout the day, you will see opportunities and possibilities to move more rapidly toward your goals.

Planning and Organizing
Take a few minutes, preferably the night before, to plan out every activity of the coming day. Always work from a list. Always think on paper. This is one of the most powerful and important disciplines of all for high performance.

Priority Setting
The essence of all time management, personal management, and life management is contained in your ability to set the proper priorities on the use of your time. This is essential for high performance.

Concentration on your Highest-Value Activities
Your ability to work single-mindedly on your most important task will contribute as much to your success as any other discipline you can develop.

Exercise and Proper Nutrition
Your health is more important than anything else. By disciplining yourself to exercise regularly and to eat carefully, you will promote the highest possible levels of health and fitness throughout your life.

Learning and Growth
Your mind is like a muscle. If you don’t use it, you lose it. Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.

Time for Important People in your Life
Relationships are everything. Be sure that in climbing the ladder of success, you do not find it leaning against the wrong building. Build time for your relationships into every day, no matter how busy you get.

Action Exercise
These seven disciplines will ensure that you perform at the highest level and get the greatest satisfaction and results from everything you do. Study these seven disciplines and then make a plan for how you can incorporate each of them into your daily life.

The Subconscious Mind

  • Posted on April 10, 2011 at 3:54 pm

It’s mighty easy to justify dishonesty if you make your living from it.

The subconscious mind makes no moral judgments. If you tell yourself something over and over, your subconscious mind will eventually accept even the most blatant lie as fact. Those whose lives and careers have been destroyed by dishonest behavior began the process of self-destruction when they convinced themselves that one slight infraction of the rules wouldn’t matter. When you sell yourself on an idea, make sure the idea is positive, beneficial to you, and harmless to others. Just as negative thoughts and deeds return to their originator, so do positive ones. When you practice honest, ethical behavior, you set in motion a force for good that will return to you many times over.

Is Better Web Builder really better?

  • Posted on April 3, 2011 at 8:17 pm

I have been in the Network Marketing arena for a while now and I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time. If you’re going to be successful in this industry you need a system. A duplicatible system.

Why does it need to be duplicatible? Everyone has the same goal in mind, to be successful. We all have our “why” for finding success. For some of us it’s our family, for others it’s to make a difference in the lives of those around us and yet for others it can be both.

I found a very successful company that I believe in and has a wide variety of great products that are reasonably priced for the average person. But that is not enough to find success.  There is another part to this equation; I need a system to help build my business. Word of mouth is a great vehicle to get the word out but just think of how many more people I could reach using the Internet. This is a tool that must be utilized in order to build a successful business in the 21st Century. Don’t get me wrong, one could build a successful business using traditional techniques but it would grow bigger and faster using the internet.

That’s where Better Web Builder comes in. This is a powerful marketing and leads generation system that can take any business to the next level when used. The best part is you can make money with this system while you are getting your primary business off the ground. This system has capture pages, auto responders, blogs, and websites to personalize to reach your target audience. As well as training calls, webinars and 24/7 support groups to help answer questions about what to do next. This program is packed with tools for success and the best part of all is…it’s FREE! Try it for free for as long as you like to see what Better Web Builders has to offer and if you don’t think it’s for you then just cancel your membership. But, if it’s half of what I’ve described, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

The other part of this system that I really like is the generic training. You can be a part of my team with Better Web Builders and work for another network marketing company. I want to see everyone find success whether you work for my company or not and would love to show you how. Click on my presentation page and let me know what you think http://www.mybwbsite.com/1443070/op.  There is no reason why you should be all alone and struggling to build your business.
